GTA 6 Cheats: All Cheat Codes

GTA 6 Cheats: What's Confirmed, Expected, or Made Up

This is the only thing that matters today: distinguishing official facts from deductions and rumors. Every claim on this page is marked with one of the following three statuses.

List of Confirmed GTA 6 Cheats

To date, no cheat codes have been confirmed by Rockstar Games. The studio has never communicated cheats before a GTA release. The tables below use the four historical categories of the series and will be filled in from November 19, 2026, with verified cheats.

In the meantime, the GTA 5 cheats section below gathers the cheats that actually work today, with phone numbers and controller combinations.

GTA 6 Cheats by Platform

The input method changes from one platform to another: DualSense symbols on PS5, A/B/X/Y buttons on Xbox, keyboard on PC. Each platform has its own dedicated page, which will receive its own verified list on release day:

How to Enter a Cheat in GTA 6

In modern GTA games, two methods coexist: the in-game phone (dialing a number in the 'Cheats' contact) and the controller combination entered quickly in-game. For GTA 6, the Whippet phone is ubiquitous in the trailers—Rockstar is expected to keep this interface. On PC, a command console similar to RDR2's is likely.

Phone Method (Most Likely)

1. Start a single-player game (cheats never work online).
2. Open the character's phone with the dedicated button (D-pad Up on consoles).
3. Go to the Contacts app, then to the dial pad.
4. Dial the cheat number, digit by digit, then call.
5. A confirmation message will appear: the effect is active. Redial the same number to deactivate it.

Controller Combination Method

1. Stay in the game, with no menus open, preferably on foot.
2. Enter the combination quickly: the input times out in a few seconds.
3. A sound or message will confirm activation; otherwise, try again faster.

The combinations differ depending on the controller: see PS5 (DualSense) or Xbox Series.

What GTA 5 Teaches Us About GTA 6 Cheats

It's pointless to copy all 30 GTA V cheats here: only those that help usanticipate GTA 6 matter. Here are the most representative cheats from each category, with their phone number and controller combination—this is exactly the format the GTA 6 list will take on release day.

Complete GTA V list, number by number: all verified phone numbers.

Three lessons for GTA 6: the categories haven't changed since 2001, the same effect always has two input methods (number and controller), and no cheat provides money or progression.

Do Cheats Disable Trophies?

Yes, systematically in GTA V and RDR2. As soon as a cheat is active: mission saving is blocked, trophies and achievements are disabled until the end of the session, and some narrative challenges become inaccessible. You must reload a clean save to restore normal progression.

Is There a Money Cheat in GTA 6?

Almost certainly not. Rockstar removed the money cheat since San Andreas (2004). Neither GTA IV nor GTA V offer one—it's a deliberate design choice to preserve the game's economy. To earn money in single-player or online, check our GTA 6 money guide.

History of Cheats in the Series

Cheats vs. Mods

Official cheats are built-in by Rockstar on all platforms. Mods are external modifications reserved for PC, unsupported, and forbidden online. A trainer like "Simple Trainer" will likely appear in the weeks following the PC release (mid-2027).
