More than anything, Lucia wants the good life her mother dreamed of back in Liberty City. Fresh out of prison and ready to turn the tables, Lucia is determined, no matter the cost.

Rumors and Alleged Character Returns — Unconfirmed
Alleged Character Returns from GTA V / Vice City
- • Phil — a character appears in an Ammu-Nation ad in Trailer 2; the community sees it as a reimagining of Phil Cassidy, with no confirmation from Rockstar.
- • Jay Norris — name found in the 2022 leak files, never officially mentioned.
- • Characters from GTA V and Vice City — no returns have been announced. GTA 6 takes place in the same fictional universe, which makes references plausible, but nothing more.
Names from the September 2022 Leak
These names come from development files illegally released in 2022. They could correspond to cut characters, renamed characters, or simple NPCs.
⚠️ Rumor: some leaks mention Billy and Kai as additional protagonists. Rockstar has only introduced two playable characters.
⚠️ Actors: no casting has been announced by Rockstar. The names of actors associated with Lucia, Jason, Brian, or Cal are circulating without any official source.
Dialogue System
GTA 6 features a contextual dialogue system in the spirit of Red Dead Redemption 2. Full details have not been released by Rockstar. Players may be able to interact with NPCs via options such as:
Greet
Friendly interaction
Threaten
Intimidation
Rob

Character Switching
Rockstar has not detailed how character switching will work. A system similar to GTA V — switching protagonists at any time — is expected but not confirmed. The camera zooms out into an aerial view before zooming back in on the other protagonist.
- • In free roam — Each character lives their own life when you're not controlling them
- • In missions — Some missions impose a character, others allow for tactical switching
- • Shared inventory — Some weapons and items are marked as "Shared" between the two protagonists
- • Dynamic relationship — The interactions between Jason and Lucia evolve with the story
