Only 6 regions of the state of Leonida are confirmed by official communications: Vice City, Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn, Ambrosia, Grassrivers, and Mount Kalaga. Any size comparison with GTA V, any area in km², or any number of cities is a community estimate, not confirmed by Rockstar.

The State of Leonida: Confirmed Counties & Locations
The state of Leonida includes at least 5 identified counties in official materials and several special zones. The county names below come from road signs and in-game visual elements: they are therefore community reconstructions unless otherwise stated by Rockstar.
Vice-Dale County
Inspired by: Miami-Dade County, Florida
Everything in excess. Vice City is still the capital of sun and fun. The glamour, the hustle, and the greed of America captured in one city. From the pastel Art Deco hotels of Ocean Beach to the panaderías of Little Cuba, and the VC Port, the cruise ship capital of the world.
Identified locations:
- • Vice City (Miami) — County seat
- • Vice Beach
- • Ocean Beach
- • South Beach
- • Little Havana
- • Little Haiti
- • Stockyard (Wynwood)
- • Venetian Islands
- • Vice City International Airport
- • Vice City Port
- • Washington Beach
- • Hamlet, Belville, Crosstown
- • Ekanfinaka, Leaf Links, Rockridge
Leonard County
Inspired by: Broward County, Florida
County identified via in-game road signs. Includes the city of Waning Sands, inspired by Aventura / Pembroke Pines.
Identified locations:
- • Waning Sands (Aventura / Pembroke Pines)
Ambrosia County
Inspired by: Hendry County, Florida
Keeping Leonida sweet. In the heart of Leonida, American industry and traditional values still reign — at any cost. The Allied Crystal sugar refinery provides the jobs, while the local biker gang provides almost everything else.
Identified locations:
- • Ambrosia
- • Lake Leonida
Kelly County
Inspired by: Collier County / Lee County, Florida
Living on the edge. This is Leonida's forgotten coast. Cheap motels, closed attractions, and empty strip malls won't bring the tourists back, but there's a new economy in this old resort town. It's fueled by beer, painkillers, and energy drinks.
Identified locations:
- • Port Gellhorn (Panama City)
Mariana County
Inspired by: Western Florida
County identified via in-game road signs. Few details are known at this time.
Identified locations:
- • Watson Bay (Cedar Key, Florida)
Special Zones of Leonida
Grassrivers
Inspired by: The Everglades, Florida
Welcome to the wetlands. The wild jewel in Leonida's crown. You never know what's lurking beneath the surface of this primitive expanse. Alligators may be the most famous attraction, but there are far deadlier predators in the mangroves.
Leonida Keys
Inspired by: The Florida Keys
Gateway to paradise. The dress code is casual, the bars are well-stocked. Life in this tropical archipelago isn't glamorous but it's easy. Jason and Lucia's starter apartment is located here, in Key Lento.
Identified locations:
- • Key Lento (Key Largo)
Mount Kalaga
Inspired by: Providence Canyon (Georgia) / North Florida
Wilderness. A national park on the northern borders of the state. Hunting, fishing, and off-road trails. In the surrounding lush woods, hill mystics and paranoid radicals live far from the prying eyes of the government.
Other Identified Locations
- • Gloriana State (inspired by Georgia) — license plates spotted in Trailer 2, state unconfirmed
- • Yorktown — to the northwest, community reconstruction
- • Malibu Club — iconic nightclub, to be confirmed
- • Military Base — presence suggested, not confirmed
- • Monument of Leonida — community reconstruction
- • Red Hill Forest — community reconstruction
The State of Gloriana (Georgia) in GTA 6?
In the second trailer and promotional screenshots, license plates mentioning "Gloriana" have been spotted. The community believes a second state might be present to the north of the map, bordering Mount Kalaga. It could also be a simple reference without a physical appearance: Rockstar has not confirmed this.
Liberty City is also mentioned in Rockstar's promotional material, particularly as the place of origin for the protagonist Lucia.

No area in km² or exact dimensions have been communicated by Rockstar. The figures above are community estimates based on the density of details visible in the trailers and the diversity of environments (urban, coastal, swampy, mountainous).
An Evolving Map After Release?
Rockstar has indicated they plan to add new cities and missions regularly after launch. This post-launch approach would allow the map to expand over time with new counties, seasonal events, and new zones.
The initial plan for GTA 6 (codenamed "Project Americas") included locations in North and South America. Although scaled back, this concept could materialize through post-launch updates.
Leonida Exploration Guides
We are already preparing thematic guides dedicated to the map, which will be completed with verified data upon the game's release on November 19, 2026:
- GTA 6 Collectibles — expected types, method, comparison with the series.
- GTA 6 Secret Locations — intriguing areas from the trailers, reasonable hypotheses.
- GTA 6 Military Base: Does It Exist? — state of affairs before release.
- GTA 6 Rare Vehicles — spawn logic, likely areas.
- GTA 6 Rare Weapons — where to look for them after release.
